ArtCAM Express 2011: Design

ArtCAM Express 2011 now comes with many 2D and 3D design features to create your pieces quickly and effectively.

	Minimise Machining Issues ArtCAM Express can now create much cleaner vectors from your bitmap artwork. With less nodes and smoother curves you can minimise the appearance of loops, which could cause machining issues.
	Reduce Colours In Your Imported Artwork You can now take your imported artwork and instantly minimise the number of colours that the image displays using a sliding bar. Once satisfied, you can then begin creating your vectors from the new range of colours.
	Alter Your Bitmap Image Colours In The 3D View The paint selective and flood fill selective tools can now be used in the 3D view. These tools allow you to choose a particular colour to replace an existing colour on your bitmap image by either by painting over the area or flood filling it. These painted or flood-filled areas can then be used as a guideline to create vectors for your machining strategies.
	Access 130 New Pieces Of Relief Clipart We have now extended ArtCAM’s Relief Clipart Library to include an extra 130 pieces of clipart. These cover: architectural, floral, frames and textures, amongst many other designs.
	Manipulate Your Imported 3D Artwork This feature gives you even greater design freedom. You can take your ArtCAM Relief Clipart or other imported 3D model and scale it to size, move it into place and rotate it amongst others before it is committed to the model itself. You also have the option of merging the new relief with the current one so that only the highest points of the new relief are shown.
